The Black Horse Inn is a charming bar and restaurant situated in the heart of Clifton village. Alongside you will find Bert’s Rooms & Events which houses 20 bedrooms, dining room and function room.
The individually designed en suite bedrooms are set within 17th century cottages, surrounding the inn.
We pride ourselves on providing a charming setting for an intimate wedding or function. Our gorgeous courtyard offers a beautiful backdrop for photos and our wedding team are on hand to create the perfect day!

Friday – Sunday The Black Horse Bar is open

Family-owned and operated for over 70 years, this distinctive 17th-century inn radiates a traditional British charm that blends in effortlessly with the surrounding Georgian architecture. The property retains many of the features that give it that “Old Worlde Charm”, original oak beams, open fires and a beautiful, secluded courtyard.
The Head Chef and his highly qualified team work closely with the owners to create new and exciting dishes whilst retaining some of the more traditional and simple choices from a menu which changes seasonally and takes advantage of locally sourced produce.
